Giving notice while on sick leave

The issue of legitimate notice of resignation when a employee gives notice while on personal/carerís leave can arise ó particularly when an employer needs some time to arrange a replacement for the employee. Similarly, employers are sometimes uncertain as to their right to give notice of termination to an employee who is on personal/carerís leave.
